The London On-Water Boat Show changes name and relaunches in 2019
The London On-Water Boat Show has undergone a rebrand, changing its name to the London Yacht Show. The newly named event is set to take place on the water at St Katharine Docks from 8th to the 12th May 2019.
Focusing on luxury lifestyle and attracting high-end net-worth customers, the event will allow manufacturers and dealers to showcase top quality luxury models. It’s a rare chance for buyers and boating enthusiasts to see these yachts up close on the water in the City of London.
Informa Global Exhibitions acquired the show at the end of last year, adding it to their portfolio of world class maritime events that also includes the Monaco Yacht Show, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and the upcoming Miami Yacht Show.
We have worked to understand the needs of the event’s exhibitors and have consequently taken the decision that we needed to relaunch this event with a brand new focus on luxury lifestyle yachting and boating, complemented by luxury brands
Andrew Williams – Maritime President, Informa Global Exhibitions
Speaking about the re-brand, Informa’s Maritime President, Andrew Williams, said: “We have worked to understand the needs of the event’s exhibitors and have consequently taken the decision that we needed to relaunch this event with a brand new focus on luxury lifestyle yachting and boating, complemented by luxury brands.
“St Katharine Docks is perfect for such an event and we will continue to work with this iconic setting which is steeped in heritage and truly unique.
“In addition, we are delighted that our new partnership with British Marine, the UK’s trade association for the leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry and organisers of Southampton Boat Show, is firmly cemented and they support the relaunch of this new event.”
The newly relaunched London Yacht Show will now open on the Wednesday, offering an exclusive VIP Elite function, combined with a press afternoon. Attendees will be given the chance to preview over 60 yachts and other boats that will be on display.
The event at St Katharine Docks will also have two floating villages, which will feature full size event marquees. One of these is the Platinum Pavilion, that will house luxury yachting and lifestyle products, whilst another, named the Monument Marquee, will feature marine ‘toys’ and boating accessories.
But it’s not all boats and marine equipment on display. The Docks’ Marble Quay will also host a number of super cars, and bikes, along with a whole host of other luxury lifestyle products.
There’s also a chance for VIP ticket holders to enjoy a drink at a floating champagne bar, as well as having access to the VIP Lounge and Concierge service.
Tickets will be available for visitors to purchase at the beginning of February through the website: www.londonyachtshow.com.
The London Yacht Show will open: Wednesday 8: 2pm – 9pm (VIP Elite & Press Only) – this is the pre-show viewing for VIP Elite pass holders only.
Visitors can purchase tickets to attend: Thursday 9: 11am – 8pm; Friday 10: 11am – 8pm; Saturday 11: 10am – 6pm and Sunday 12: 10am – 5pm.
