Webinars launched by UK government to prepare businesses for ‘No-deal’ Brexit

by | Aug 28, 2019

The Government recently revealed that they would be running two webinars to offer businesses clarity in the event that the UK was to leave the European Union without a deal.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) will host the webinars, with their Good Regulations team offering advice to businesses, and offering attendees the chance to ask questions.

British Marine is encouraging its members to sign up to the sessions to gain further understanding of the regulation of manufactured goods that will be covered by the “New Approach” in the event of a ‘No-deal’ Brexit.

Officials from the BEIS will offer an update on the preparations that the government has made so far. Then there will be time for you to ask questions to gain advice on how your boat dealership should be preparing for the changes in goods regulations in the event of a ‘No-deal’ Brexit.

The webinars will take place on two separate dates, however, there are limited spaces currently available on each. Click on the dates below to book your place on the webinar:

If you don’t manage to get a spot on either of these then fear not, there will be more webinars organised to take place in September.

Once you have signed up to the webinar, you’ll receive instructions on how to join the session in the days prior to the event.

If you are unable to attend either of the webinars, but you have questions on how Brexit may affect your business, then British Marine is encouraging you to contact BEIS via email at goodsregulation@beis.gov.uk.

British Marine are also offering advice on Brexit preparation, which you can access here. However, if you have questions on issues that don’t feature on their website, you can also send further questions to Brian Clark at BClark@britishmarine.co.uk.
