Sunsail launches new UK charter fleet in £3.75m investment
Sunsail, one of the leading yacht charter holiday companies, has announced that it will add a number of new Jeanneau yachts to its UK fleet. This will see the company invest around £3.75million, adding 15 new yachts in 2020, and 10 more in 2021.
This new fleet, based in Port Solent, Hampshire, will be available for charters allowing customers to explore the south coast of the UK. Charters will start in Portsmouth, Southampton, Cowes, Lymington and throughout the Solent. These new yachts are ideal for both first timers and seasoned sailors, and will offer comfortable cruising as well as good racing performance.
This latest announcement goes hand-in-hand with British Marine’s vision of a thriving industry delivering amazing on-water experiences for everyone.

The boat is the newest member of the Sunsail fleet and will be used at all Sunsail events as well as cruising charters and sailing school courses. You will also be able to charter them at all major UK sailing events including Cowes Week, Round the Island Race, Southampton Sailing Week, and Little Britain Challenge Cup.
The boat in question, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410, offers a modern and spacious interior as well as plenty of style. It takes inspiration from modern racing boats, and has a full-length chine, twin rudders and a reverse bow that rises up out of the water. The boat is 12.95m in length and the deck boasts 30% weight-savings when compared to traditional decks. This means that the boat is nicely balanced and responsive.
